Terms & Conditions

  • 1. The Promoter

The promoter is: RS Competitions Limited (Company Number XXXXXXXX) whose registered office is at XXXXXXXX.

Our correspondence address is: XXXXXXXX.

If you wish to contact us for any reason, please email info@rscompetitions.co.uk.

  • 2. The competition

2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on the Promoter’s website at www.rscompetitions.co.uk (the “Website”).

2.2 All competitions are free-entry-route prize competitions. An entry fee is payable for online entries. A free postal entry route is also available.

  • 3. How to enter

3.1 Each competition will run from and including the opening and closing dates shown on the Website. These dates are the “Opening Date” and “Closing Date” respectively. All dates and times refer to London, England.

3.2 If it becomes necessary to do so, the Promoter reserves the right to amend the Opening Date and/or Closing Date. Any updated details will be displayed on the Website. The Promoter will not extend a competition simply to sell more entries.

3.3 All entries must be received by the Promoter no later than the time stated on the Closing Date. Entries received after that time may be disqualified and no refund will be due unless stated otherwise in these terms.

3.4 The maximum number of entries for each competition will be stated on the Website. Entry may be limited or closed once that maximum has been reached.

3.5 Entrants may enter each competition as many times as they wish until any per-person limit has been reached and until the overall competition limit has been reached. Postal entries must be submitted separately. Multiple entries sent together in one envelope may be treated as a single entry only.

3.6 To enter online:

(a) go to the Website;

(b) select the competition and add the required number of entries to your basket;

(c) complete the checkout process and submit your registration details; and

(d) complete payment to receive your order confirmation and allocated entry number(s).

3.7 Unless a competition page specifically states otherwise, all entries must be submitted in English. Entries submitted in another language may be disqualified.

3.8 Unless you are using the free postal entry route, the Promoter will send confirmation that your entry has been received together with your allocated entry number(s).

3.9 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are not successfully completed, are lost, delayed, corrupted or not received for any reason, including as a result of technical malfunction, network failure, systems failure, hardware failure or software failure of any kind.

3.10 By purchasing entries and submitting an entry, you are entering into a contract with the Promoter and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.11 You may enter a competition for free by post if you comply with all of the following conditions:

(a) send your entry on an unenclosed postcard by first or second class post to: XXXXXXXX;

(b) hand-delivered entries will not be accepted;

(c) your postal entry must include:

(i) your full name and date of birth;

(ii) your full address;

(iii) a contact telephone number and email address;

(iv) the name or clear details of the competition you are entering;

(d) incomplete, incorrect or illegible entries will be disqualified;

(e) each free entry must be submitted and posted separately. Multiple entries sent in one envelope may be counted as one entry only;

(f) by entering, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and accept these terms and conditions;

(g) your entry must be received before the Closing Date. Proof of posting does not guarantee entry into the draw;

(h) the Promoter is not required to acknowledge receipt of postal entries;

(i) if the competition has sold out or reached its cap before your postal entry is received, your entry will not be included in the draw; and

(j) where required by the Promoter’s systems or processes, you may need to have created an account on the Website before your postal entry can be processed, and your postal details must match your account details.

  • 4. Choosing a winner

4.1 All valid entries received before the Closing Date will be entered into a random draw and the winner will be selected at random. The draw will take place as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 7 days of the Closing Date (the “Draw Date”).

4.2 Entrants’ names and entry numbers may be included in an entry list or draw sheet that may be published on the Website or displayed during a live draw. If you do not wish your name to appear, you must contact the Promoter at info@rscompetitions.co.uk as soon as possible after entering and, where relevant, at least 48 hours before the draw.

4.3 For help with entries, please email info@rscompetitions.co.uk.

  • 5. Eligibility

5.1 Competitions are open only to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except:

(a) employees of the Promoter;

(b) employees of the Promoter’s agents or suppliers who are professionally connected with a competition or its administration; and

(c) members of the immediate families or households of the persons listed in (a) and (b).

5.2 By entering a competition, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require proof of age, identity, residency or eligibility before awarding a prize.

5.3 The Promoter will not accept entries that are:

(a) automatically generated by computer; or

(b) incomplete.

5.4 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition, including abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards the Promoter or anyone connected with the competition.

5.5 Subject to clause 11.3, entry fees are non-refundable, including where:

(a) you later discover that you were not eligible to enter or claim the prize;

(b) you become ineligible after entering; or

(c) you are disqualified by the Promoter in accordance with these terms.

5.6 If an entrant engages in:

(a) any form of fraud or attempted fraud;

(b) fraudulent misrepresentation;

(c) concealment of relevant information;

(d) hacking, tampering or interference with the operation of the Website or a competition; or

(e) unauthorised use or attempted modification of any code or process relating to the Website,

all of that entrant’s entries may be declared void, no refund will be given, and the Promoter may ban that entrant from future competitions.

  • 6. The prize

6.1 The prize for each competition is described on the Website (the “Prize”). Prize details are correct to the best of the Promoter’s knowledge at the Opening Date.

6.2 All prizes are subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value if necessary. If any prize details change, the Promoter will seek to update the Website as soon as reasonably possible.

6.3 The Promoter gives no representation or warranty as to the Prize, its value, condition or fitness for purpose, and does not guarantee that any information on the Website is accurate, complete or up to date at all times.

6.4 A Prize may be supplied by a third-party supplier. Where applicable, supplier details may be stated on the Website.

6.5 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a cash alternative (the “Cash Prize”) where:

(a) the advertised Prize becomes unavailable; or

(b) circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control make this necessary.

6.6 The Prize is not negotiable or transferable.

6.7 Where the Prize is a holiday, event, trip, vehicle or other experience, the specific terms, inclusions and exclusions shown on the relevant competition page will apply in addition to these terms.

  • 7. Winners

7.1 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

7.2 The winner may be announced during a live draw or published on the Website. If you would prefer for your name to be partially censored in a live draw or public winner announcement, please email info@rscompetitions.co.uk before the draw takes place.

7.3 The Promoter will contact the winner as soon as reasonably practicable after the Draw Date using the phone number or email address provided with the entry. If the winner cannot be contacted, is unavailable, or does not claim the Prize within 21 days of the Draw Date, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternative winner selected at random from the remaining valid entries.

7.4 Any alternative winner will have 21 days from being notified to accept the Prize. This process may continue until a winner accepts the Prize.

7.5 The Promoter must either publish or make available information demonstrating that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the Promoter may publish the winner’s full name and town, city or county of residence on the Website.

7.6 If you object to any or all of your name and location being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at info@rscompetitions.co.uk before the Closing Date. In such circumstances, the Promoter may still have to provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority or other regulators on request.

  • 8. Claiming the prize

8.1 The Prize must be claimed personally by the winner unless the Promoter agrees otherwise in writing. Details of delivery, transfer or collection will be published on the Website or provided on request.

8.2 If your personal details change, including your email address, telephone number or postal address, you must notify the Promoter as soon as possible by emailing info@rscompetitions.co.uk. You should include details of the competition entered together with your old and new details. If your details change within 10 days of the Closing Date, the Promoter may continue to use your previous details if it needs to attempt contact.

8.3 Any Cash Prize will be paid directly to a bank account nominated by the winner. The winner may be required to provide proof that they are the sole or joint beneficiary of that account. Failure to provide the requested information within 14 days may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.

8.4 The Promoter accepts no responsibility and is not liable to pay compensation if a winner is unable to take up the Prize.

8.5 Where ownership or registration documents are required in order to transfer a Prize, those documents must be completed before the Prize is handed over.

  • 9. Limitation of liability

9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents and distributors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death arising from taking up the Prize except where caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents, distributors or employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  • 10. Data protection and publicity

10.1 By entering a competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you may be held and used by the Promoter, its agents and suppliers for the administration of the competition and for the other purposes set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at www.rscompetitions.co.uk/privacy-policy.

10.2 If you are the winner, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town, city or county of residence to announce the winner of the competition. You also agree to take part in any reasonable publicity requested by the Promoter.

10.3 If you do not wish to participate in publicity, you must notify the Promoter before the Closing Date. This will not affect your chance of winning. However, the Promoter may still need to provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority or another regulatory body if requested.

10.4 If you are the winner, you may be required to provide further information and proof of identity in order to verify your eligibility and transfer the Prize to you. By entering, you consent to the use of your information for these purposes. If you withdraw that consent before the Prize is transferred, you may be treated as having withdrawn from the competition and forfeited the Prize.

10.5 Under data protection law, you may request that the Promoter removes your personal data from its records. However, if you do this before a competition is concluded, the Promoter may be unable to contact you if you win, and you may therefore be treated as having withdrawn from the competition. If you do not wish your personal details to be used for promotional purposes, please email info@rscompetitions.co.uk before the Closing Date.

  • 11. General

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Website.

11.2 If there is reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its discretion, exclude an entrant from the competition and from future competitions.

11.3 The Promoter reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel or amend a competition where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances outside its reasonable control. In such circumstances, the Promoter will refund any paid entries where required.

11.4 There is no minimum number of entries required for a competition to proceed. The Promoter will not cancel, suspend, extend or amend a competition simply because fewer entries than expected have been received. The draw will take place and the Prize will be awarded regardless of entry volume.

11.5 Competitions on the Website are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform unless expressly stated otherwise. By entering, entrants agree that those platforms bear no responsibility for the administration or promotion of the competitions.

11.6 These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11.7 You should print a copy of these terms and conditions and keep them for your records.
